Lindsay Orbeta, MS, RD
Lindsay is a Sports Dietitian and lifelong athlete who specializes in the areas of performance nutrition, body composition, metabolic health, pre-surgical nutrition optimization, and injury recovery. Formerly, Lindsay was an Exercise Physiologist at UCSF where she managed research projects on DXA / bone density, exercise metabolism and body composition. She has worked as the Sports Registered Dietician for the UCSF RunSafe Clinics since 2018, the ROOTS men’s pro-soccer team, and co-authored a research paper on the applications of the ketogenic diet in endurance sports.
Lindsay practices at the Orthopaedic Institute on the Mission Bay campus, where she focuses on helping patients achieve their health and performance goals through personalized nutrition strategies.
Lindsay is formerly an Ironman triathlete- turned surfer and trail runner here in San Francisco. She also regularly swims, cycles, weight trains. As a testament to her own nutrition practice, Lindsay fully recovered from a recent ACL reconstruction surgery through targeted recovery and physical therapy, and is back to sports that she loves including surfing and running.
